I am receiving a very good response from the readers. Its really nice to give here the great contribution sent by our readers. In this way it actually fulfills the objective to share the views of philatlists from different parts of India and abroad at a common platform of this e-stamp club. Please also send your views and experiences about Philatelic Exhibitions in India as well as your suggestions for the improvement in present set up of philately in India for publication in this blog. Thanks ! all of you! & Till next post.......... Have a very nice time!.......

Niket Bubna writes from Indore .........

I am Niket Bubna from Indore and I am writing for the first time. I came across your blog recently and find it updated and interesting.

Madhav Institute of Science & Technology Stamp

The latest India Post stamp issue, Madhav Institute of Science & Technology, Gwalior carries a spelling error in the Hindi alphabets. The Hindi word for 'Technology' is 'Praudyogiki'. It uses a letter, 'dya' in its spelling. The stamp on the contrary mentions it as 'Praudhogiki', making no meaning out of it. It has replaced 'dya' with 'dha'. Such blunders are an insult to the department, which cannot even take care of spelling mistakes in postage stamps, referred to as the message carriers of the nation. The Ministry under which the Department of Posts functions is Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, having 'Technology' in its name itself! The stamp should be withdrawn and the error rectified.
