World Money Fair, Berlin

Hi Readers, Today I have a beautiful FDC to show you, issued by German Post. As the world is moving with high pace we come across many new and very innovative design of stamps issued by some of the European countries. I have always a great appreciation for the stamp designs of Poland which have a very high aestheic sense. Now another Postal Administration , the German Post needs a big applause from stamp lovers for bringing out such a beautiful FDC to commemorate a 2 Euro Coin issued on 1 February 2008 during World Money Fair, held in Berlin, Germany from 1-3 February 2008. On backside, perfect details of the affixed stamps and the 2 Euro Commemorative coin depicting St.Michaelis Church, Hamburg and date of issue are given. As there was no new stamp issued on 01.02.2008, a special cancellation of St.Michaelis Church-Hamburg was provided on Charity stamps of 2005 ( correct Inland postage of envelope 1.10 Euro), with Deutsche Post emblem in yellow strip at bottom on frontside and the actual 2 Euro UNC Coin is incorporated in the First Day Cover. Here are the images of this magnificent cover from both front and back sides. In the next part of this post I have the last and remaining list of Se-tenant Stamps from the Album of Mr. Shrikant Parikh. I am sure this list will be a good reference for the se-tenant stamp Collectors. My sincere thanks for this post to Mr. Parikh who sent me the information about this German Cover as well as for his big contribution in the listing of se-tenant stamps of India.
